Ps3 won't connect to PlayStation network. Using wireless hot spot. Have been using it for several months. Suddenly decided to not connect. It connects to hotspot but not p.s. error code 80710016
If you run a network test, and it fails at logging into PSN, then it is on the PSN side. Did it ever work? Did you just get a new ISP? Will it log into PSN with a mobile hotspot? What if you have an ethernet cable plugged in?
This is an old topic but the error code indicates a banned external IP address.
Try shutting down your network equipment for at least 15 minutes,hopefully you will be assigned a new IP address if not contact your ISP for assistance.
Yup, try mobile hotspot if you have one. I had to this on PS4 2 weeks ago, as proof that my ISP had their DNS all mangled. It eventually got fixed after I sent Tech support my error reports pointing to their network! It was out of my control, and I got 3 days of service back (wow!).
