Powered ssd to usb port drive recognised but NOT file system.

Hi, can anyone advise. Just purchased a new desktop and removed ssd from old computer to copy some files across. Using the old ssd with powered cable to the usb on the new desktop the drive is recognised but cant access the files.
What could be the problem? and how can i make the drive files accessible.

What indication or error are you getting when you attempt the access?

What operating system is the old drive? What is is the new pc? Did you have to log into the old pc to get to your desktop?

win 10 old win 10 new no login

Press your windows key, and type Disk Management. If the disk is listed in the list, then on the left hand side, right click over the drive and make certain it is online.
