Hello,
For a few days now, my Huawei P30 Pro EMUI 11.0 no longer warns me of incoming whatsapp messages like it used to. Nothing I have done has helped, and as far as I know I've pretty much done everything possible, even fully deleting and reinstalling the app. This is seriously affecting my work. Any ideas? Audio messages work fine

As far as I remember, I did nothing to cause this.


System Configuration: Windows / Firefox 93.0

Hi,

Here are some points to check to make sure that WhatsApp can send you notifications :
  • Check if notifications (especially for conversations) are allowed.
  • Check if WhatsApp is allowed to run in the background.
  • Check if WhatsApp is excluded from battery optimization.
  • Check if an app does not interfere with WhatsApp.
