Hello,

Recently, probably, whatsapp made an update and I don't see an option to add an image from a cloud app, like from Google Drive anymore.

Is there any way to opt this on back?

Thanks

The ability to add an image to a status update from a cloud app like Google Drive was recently removed in an update to WhatsApp. There is no current way to opt this back in.

Hi,

As the option seems to have been removed, you can download your media from Google Drive on your phone's internal storage so that you can share it to WhatsApp.

Thank you for answering, I will try it as you said and if I face any issues, I will ask you by starting my own thread.

Hi ZulBrown,

WhatsApp updates can sometimes change features' accessibility. Have you checked the app settings thoroughly? It's possible the option got relocated. If not, reaching out to WhatsApp support or checking official release notes might provide insights. Users often share workarounds in forums, so keep an eye on community discussions.

Hope you find a solution soon
