Hi,
Connect your walkman to your laptop and let it charge for at least 5 minutes. Next, disconnect and reconnect it to your laptop. You may have to wait 30 seconds for your walkman to be recognized.
If the issue persists, try with a different USB port and avoid using a USB hub. Otherwise, I suggest you press the RESET button on your walkman, then reconnect it to your laptop. Your music and other data won't be deleted.
If your walkman is still not detected, go to Device Manager and expand Portable Devices. Right-click on your walkman and choose Update driver. You can let Windows find the right driver for you or choose one manually. In the second case, choose USB Mass Storage Device.
