Ipod nano 2nd generation

I left my ipod 2nd generation nano in my pants pocket and my mom washed it so i let it dry for a few days and hooked it up to my computer. It will act normal but then when i take it off the usb cord and take it off hold it just turns off????
Please tell me if there is a way to fix it!

hi,

it might be that there is water inside it which is causing this effect.

take it to your local Apple service provider, they may give you advice to find a solution for your problem.
