Hi :)
Depending on the amount of free-space on your hard drive then you might be able to install Windows on the same drive so that both Linpus and Windows are given as choices when you bootup
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WindowsDualBoot
Take particular notice of the advice in
http://help.ubuntu.com/...
Alternatively i would suggest taking your machine along to the IT Support in your college as they might be able to get the printing working quite easily.
Another option is to try a dedicated linux forum such as
http://www.linuxquestions.org
It does take a little time to get used to linux but perhaps this page might help
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SwitchingToUbuntu/FromWindows
I haven't used Linpus myself but all the different versions of linux work in much the same way so i would guess that if you can find your "Package Manager" and use that to search for and install (or reinstall) "cups" (Common Unix Printing System), preferably while plugged in to the network with the printer in it then that might sort the problem out.
If you can't see other machines on the network then you might need to install "smbclient", "smbfs" or perhaps even "Samba" although i would be careful about that one unless other people suggest it to as i think it sets up your machine as a server although i'm not sure about that. Anyway, ask in the proper linux forums and someone in there should be able to help!
Good luck and regards from
Tom :)
