Hello,
Windows service pack 1 - doesnot all recent drivers and will not recognize your touch pad and even keyboard.
Try to boot on Safemode.
Just press on F8 when your start your computer - and connect an usb mouse and try to install the touch pad drive manually.
Then boot on normal mode and install your other drivers..
It is recommended to update quickly your os to Service pack 2 or 3 for best performance of your computer.
