Help my ACER 2920 - Frozen and won't reboot!

Hello,
Please help, my acer 2920 froze yesterday so I held the power on button for 5 secons to turn it off. When I boot it up it comes to a black screen and says 'operating system not found'

When I put in my recovery cd/backup cd thingy, it just says 'No HDD available'.

Im not worried about loosing data if it means my laptop will work again.
Any advice highly welcome

The hard drive is dead or has a bad connection. I would first try to remove and replace the hard drive. Sometimes that will fix a bad connection. Don't mess around with the laptop's internals unless you know what you are doing. If you can't easily remove and replace the hard drive don't disassemble the laptop case.

You might need to buy a new hard drive and re-install Windows. Most likely all your data is lost.

Hello,

My cursor is frozen, the touchpad does not work. I connected external mouse through USB port and it worked fine.

Hello! I have a Toshiba laptop that I've had for about 2 years. The cursor has recently became frozen or disappears altogether. I've tried using F5 and it does nothing. I've turned my laptop on and off and it still won't work. I downloaded an antivirus software to make sure there wasn't some sort of virus on my laptop preventing the mouse from working as well, and that still didn't fix it. I've discovered if I hold down the left click button and drag, the mouse will work, but that's the only time and it's extremely aggravating. Does anyone know anything else I can do that I haven't already tried that will solve this problem? Please help me if you can. I need my computer for college and I hav...

Toshiba Satellite mouse pad stopped working

Hello,

I was using my Toshiba Satellite and it froze up. I turned it off and then back on and my mouse pad stopped working. My cursur will move and highlight an icon but will not follow the command when clicked. I tried the function key and f9 and nothing.

I have access to my keypad and my mouse. The touchpad does not work. the light that locks that touchpad is on - but whne I click F5 it does not go off (I also tried FN+F5, ALT+F5, CTRL+F5...)
I have restarted my system and the light is still on.
Any other ideas?

Toshiba laptop cursor is frozen

As soon as I start and log in the screen freezes and I can't do anything. I use cont alt delete and sign out using the arrow keys. When I get the screen that I can click on to sign in I have use of the cursor but as soon as I log in, everything freezes. The only thing that has changed recently is that I wanted to use the calendar on my laptop and it made me set up a microsoft account. It seems like I have had trouble ever since I have done that. I thought I could start in safe mode and be able to delete the microsoft account but I have been unable to do so.

Any help you can give will be appreciated.
