Gateway System REsore

Hello,

I have a Gateway computer 5 years old and have the White System Recovery CD/DVD disk and need to restore my computer, it is only one disk. I had step by step directions but cannot find them. I know I put the disk in while the computer is on and then cut the computer back on and then I should be tapping a certain key I have forgotten which key it is. If you can advise on how to do the Recovery and the key that I should be tapping I would appreciate it.

hi there,

just boot from the recovery disk

press F8 and hold orgo to bios and set

cd/dvd drive to first boot or priority boot

then follow the instructions on screen that is to make a backu or continue without

then press next and wait till finished
