Problems connecting to the internet via rouer

Hello
I have recently bought a linksys router and installed and set it up exactly as it should have from the instructions. the laptop top is recognizing the router but i am still unable to connect to the internet..Help me someone??

hi there,

you must check your ip settings in network connection

or reset it in command line

open run>

type cmd>

then type ipconfig /release

ipconfig /flushdns

then ipconfig /renew

note you must be logged as administrator to be able to do so and

ip set to automatic
