No volume no sound

Hello,

I have no sound or volume control as well as display of volume or turn volume off on the screen since installing windows xp professional service pack 2 so that I could install Norton 360 also says no audio device when I tried to troubleshoot it myself. I am not that computer savy. I have an IBM Thinkpad model 2682 running Windows XP Professionl 2002 version. Would love some help and thanks to anyone who does!

Hi, are you using the onboard sound card, if yes install the motherboard utilities and then the audio driver. very simple !
