Ipod frozen while charging

Hello,my name is celes
i hope you help i was charging my ipod on the computer when i was shutting it off i forgot my ipod was connected, When i came back for my ipod it said connected but, my computer was off. So i turned my computer on and, connected it again since i thought it might help but, i plug my ipod in but nothing happens just the screen that says connected. And i cant turn it off it just says connected while it is not. i think its just frozen. please help me:)
