My Laptop windows XP home is not booting Closed

Hello,
 I am having HP lap top with windows XP home as OS. It failed to boot. I got windows XP professional OS CD with. How do I can re boot my system with XP professional OS. or else tell me how to install XP pro. in my lap top. Suggest me the best way to work my computer. I have lot of data in my laptop.

maybe you shoul try the Repair option when installing a new version of Windows. This will keep the files you have on your PC, except the ones on your desktop and in My Documents. Otherwise, if you have important file there and if your system doesn't boot, maybe you should take the computer to a specialist
