Doubt regarding windows vista 64 bit

Hello,
guys i am taking hp dv 9700 series laptop(core2duo t5750 2.0 ghz 512 mb nvidia 8600gs)
so i wanna ask whether i should drop the idea of taking 64 bit vista version as i have listened that most of the games wont be working on 64 bit and most of the softwares still do not support 64 bit
so plz guide me wat to do as i have to buy it as early as possible.

You can run 32-bit programs on a Vista 64 bit. It installs them in a folder called Program Files(x86). The 64-bit programs go in the regular Program Files folder.
However, unless you're trying to use more than 4 GB of RAM, I'd suggest just using 32 bit Vista, unless you already have the 64-bit version, which is fine also.
