You could try logging out and close all instances of the browser window, then in control panel for Internet clear the cookies and the history and temp files whiel you're at it. Then open your browser, go and login again, and see if ou get your email.
If your Java versions is old you could try to update it. Controlpanel, Java, you should be able to check for a newer version.
If there is a support for the service you are using, use it, browse the FAQ section. Perhaps you missed a step when you signed up. Or the email you received is in the spam section of the service, and does not appear in your regular email list.
