How do i connect my sony vaio to my sony brav

Hello,
i want to connect my sony vaio laptop to my sony bravia tv the tv has the hdmi socket and the laptop has a socket with 15 pins im sure this is where the cable goes im scared to buy anything as people are saying i need one hdmi and others are saying i need a connector please help

Hi there,

well you need definitely a converter as 15 pins is for vga port,so a converter from vga to hdmi is required else a vga cable is needed since all sony bravia have vga and hdmi port.

but i am not gettiing anything on disp.lay aftr connecting hdmi cable
