OKay, 1st toshiba lapotop screen does not display anything on its monitor but its working fine and you can see the backlight on, just no image on screen.....so if you have any answers to that i would greatly appreciate it....second i had my laptop connected to external monitor and it was on extended desktop...so it goes blank on external monitor at a certain point and cannot change the screen settings because when i do log on(using arrows to select profile and then typing in password blindly witch happens to work) the external monitor has no icons because its on extended desktop and if i run safe mode and try to get to control panel to change settings it freezes up or if i run vga mode it works till my desktop loads up then monitor goes blank......is there some command i can use in command prompt that can get me to a point where i can disable extended desktop.......or any other ways

1. go to extended mode
2. login as administrator
3. open device manager
4. uninstall video adapter
5. reboot
6. once rebooted, reset screen resolution
