Hello,
Can you help me please. I have the same problem. My laptop doesn't have any sound from the windows start up to the playing of videos and music files. I can't hear a single thing.
I remember that my computer has system check ( i dont know the exact process but it tells that it will check the computer). In this process, I saw that it deleted some files( idk what were those) that takes somewhat 10 minutes. Then, i open it, sounds still working. The next day, the sound is gone. It says that the device is working properly. I've reinstalled it but still not functioning. I tried headphones but i cant hear any sounds too.
What should i do? HELP!!!!! i've tried the control panel stuff or device manager. But didn't work. About the reinstalling the sound card i dont know how to do that.

Thanks in advance :)
My laptop is Dell Inspiron 1440
windows vista basic
Intel(R) Core 2 Duo CPU t6500 @2.10 GHz

I need your help:(

Hi there,

You can try making a system restore to previous date it was having sound or open run and type msconfig.msc, select normal startup on general tab, apply and restart system.

Thanks
