No sound on laptop

Hello,

My sister disabled the sound on my laptop several days ago, and ever since I can't get any sound, and by the speaker icon in the bottom right hand corner, there is just a white cross in a red circle, I've tried updating the driver for "NVIDIA High Definition Audio", but it didn't work, what can I do?



i don't have the disc to re install the sound device


I just went on device manager, and the "NVIDIA High Definition Audio" is enabled, but there is still no sound, tried updating and rolling back the drivers, disabling and enabling it, but still nothing.
