Computer stops showing images after Booting Closed

Hey all,

My friend just built me a new computer and it was working fine when I took it from his house to mine (The drive is about 2 hours so, if I can I'd like to figure this out on my own). 

When I got home I plugged the computer into my television (which has VGA and HDMI inputs) using my computers component output. I switched my TV to the HD setting and my computer begins to boot up and I can see the window's XP loading bar, but no sooner does it complete than my screen goes black and the TV says no signal. I tried using the VGA and HDMI inputs and the same thing happens. What can I do to trouble shoot this problem?

I should add that the computer is still running when the screen goes black. The mouse and keyboard are still lit-up and I can still open the drives.

I would say that your PC's video card is having problems with the TV or vise versa.  Have you successfully connected another PC to this TV?   Try customer support hot line for the TV.
