Freezing

i have a dell inspiron 6400 with vista.

when i log on , the pc sticks on the welcome screen or logs off
how do i fix ?

can anyone help ?

If you created a Vista repair CD you should use that to repair your copy of VISTA. You can also book into the Vista install DVD and choose "repair".
