Can't connect to the internet

Hello,

I have a new laptop and a desktop I have the desktop wired up to the internet but when i change the cable over to the laptop it won't connect the desktop is vista and the laptop is running win 7 any ideas?

Hi there,

renew your ip when connected to pc,enter commands below in command line:

ipconfig /release,ipconfig /fulshdns,ipconfig /renew.
