Why wont my ipod turn on

Hello, soo my ipod wont turn on when i try to turn it on but when i plugg it in to somthing like my computer it will turn in an charge.

Let the ipod battery drain, and then plug it into charge.
Leave the battery to drain for about 24 hours, this worked for my ipod :)
