Ipod touch not working!!!! Closed

Question

my ipod's battery finished..and so i put it on charge...i noticed it didnt turn on by itself like it usually does...so i pressed the hold button so that it opens...and it does open but then close after a second..only apple's logo cums and then it closes by itself...ive tried alot but nuthigs working!!:(

hey, i have some good news for you. mine went through the same thing ..and i freaked out. some kid decided to use my ipod and when he gave it back it would work..i have been through 3 different ipods..so my parents wud kill me. TRY THIS! - hold down the hold button on the top of the ipod for like 30 seconds while its plugged into a computer..and it will reset. i  almost cried. i really didnt think it wud work..but it did... hope it works hung
