Compaq v2710us just winks at me!!

Hello,

I have Compaq v2710us. When I start it, the light in front just quickly flashes at me. That's it. No fan, nothing!! If I try again, not even the flash. If I remove all power, reinstall it and try again, it just winks at me again. I have replaced the mother board and the central processing unit. Nothing, except once it started the fan and it cycled on and off. Then it stoped.

Does any one have any suggestions?

Please recheck all internal connections ,it may be shorts circuits making this happen,
