Disk management

Hello,
xp disk management is being block by windows fire wall exception list ....I tried to allow it but that did not work ...I also tried a command line "diskpart" and this didn't work...the problem before was my dvd drive /cd drive is not showing up in "my computer"

Please consider having the firewall deactivated to carry out the specific task without any trouble.
