Gateway model mx6934 laptop wont boot

Hello, gateway model mx6934. power light comes on.fan starts but goes off after 2 seconds then power light goes off for 1 sec. then comes back on.screen black.tried discharge,no luck.reseated ram,hd,cd.still no go.help..charlie

Please consider checking whether the problem isn't coming from faulty battery or PSU.
