Hello,
I restored my Gateway PC (Vista) back to new. However windows says that I only have 8 gig available to use. Hard drive is 300 gig. Where did the free space go? How do I get it back? I don't need to restore old files.

Thank you

Right Click Computer
Click Manage
Disk Management
If the rest of your drive is unallocated you will have to right click it and create the partition.

What is the total hard disk space as shown on your computer? You might have restored windows into the "recovery/restore partition" which is much smaller.

Good Luck

Did you use Gateway Recovery Management? In which case it will be in C:Backup
