Harddisc not detected

Hello there,
I have 2 harddisc 1st is of 20GB and other is of 160GB.
20Gb has my Os and 160 has data.
on startup all drives are visible but in few seconds all drives are gone and only 20Gb Os drive is visible.
help me out friends.

Please mention some more details so that we can assist you better.
Operating system? harddisk (SATA/ IDE)and computer manufacturer?
Reconnect the cable and boot the system and check.
