Hello,
Ive had this problem in the past after installing a new hard drive. Installed one again and it's not getting a signal. Just a black screen and a yellow light. I've switched memory around and cleaned video card. I've held the power button in for a minute while unpluged. Anyone know what else i can do to get monitor working so i can install windows? Thanks a lot.

Hello,

Try this 1.

If you failed to get the display even when your computer is Switched ON then

make sure that problem is not coming because of bad RAM or video card.

Remove the video card, connect your monitor to the onboard VGA and check

whether you are able to get the display or not.

Note : If you onboard VGA is disabled, then reset your BIOS.

Click on below link and try hardware reset.

Remove the RAM from the slot, clean it and place it back properly or try another

slot. Even bad RAM will result you in display problem.

Also check your monitor and its VGA cable.

Good Luck.
