Hello,

I want to buy an external hard drive to store music, pictures and movies on (which i would be getting from my friend's pc computers) to listen to/watch/ and view on my mac. Do I need a specific hard drive for macs? Will I be able to store things from PCs and use them on my mac? My mac is an OSx version 10.6.4.
I don't know very much about computers, thank so much!

Hi, Sarah

It's possible. But there may be some uncompatibilities between PC files/programs and Mac. For example, you move the music from PC to Mac, you may liscen some music normally and can not under Mac, as the supported music formats in QuickTime are a little different with those music players under PC. So you'd better have a try.

Don't know if I have answered your question.

Thanks
