Master Password reset Mac OS X 10.4

Hello,

I have a little problem here... Few weeks ago I reset My Master password, choosing the same as the Administrator one (that's what I thought), however for some reason It doesnot work. The funny thing is that if I download a program I will be asked to give my admin pass, which for the system is not recognized as the one I use for the normal Login as Administrator. I have tried a few tricks already in basic terms like lower case etc... I've even tried to delete what was stored in my keychain so to try to reset my master pass(which others on the web suggested), with no success.

Help is very much appreciated. I do not want to lose any data, Just reset the master pass (the filevault is not set on as it says turn ON filevault).
