This happens only on your computer or all computers!!?try this::open explorer->tools->folder options select ''show hidden files and folders.

Ok, so now your problem is that my dear your computer may be affected by some virus problem or u may not be able to find the hidden files...just follow a simple procedure...
just go to ur pendrive and go to search tab...now there u will find the advanced option to search. now go to that and select all the option i.e hidden files.
and press search. now u will find all the files and folder which are available to ur pendrive and can be accessed by this method.
