Hello,
I have a Dell laptop, when turned on it just continues loading the Microsoft corporation screen which normally comes up for 5 seconds then comes up with my login settings.
However, it is not switching to the next screen & is continually loading for hours, I am not able to get into my laptop & need to resolve this issue immediately.
I have tried removing battery, powering off, then plugging in & reconnecting battery but it is still loading, please tell me if this can be fixed DIY or if I need to take it in to get it repaired?
I would appreciate any help as hoping technician is an absolute last resort!

Hello,

Try "System Restore" from the "Safe Mode".

1) When you switch ON your laptop, start tapping the "F8" key to get

"Windows Advanced Options"( if boot menu appears, press "Esc" key and keep

tapping the F8 key)

2) Select "Safe Mode", when the desktop appears try "System Restore".

Good Luck.

Hi Jack,
Thanks for your response!
I have tried doing what you said & unfortunately it is still not working!
When I tap the F8 key it just beeps as I tap the key & does not come up with the options as you said. It just goes on to the Microsoft Corporation screen & keeps loading, is there anything else I can do?

Hello,
Don't press and hold the F8 key. You have to gently tap the F8 key repeatedly until "Windows Advanced Options" appears.
Good Luck
