Not a valid Win32 application mssg appears

Hello,
i use windows vista . i had skype on my laptop but towards end of december skype went funny.. so i had to uninstall it...
i have been ever since trying to re-install it again but it never worked out as am always downloading skype setup, however when i try to run it to finisht the installation process i get a failure notification that skype setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

how can i fix that?

Hello,

Try this 1

Click on Start --> In search box, type cmd and press Enter.

"Command Prompt" will be opened. Now enter the below command

regsvr32 /i SHELL32.DLL ---> Press Enter.

[Note : You can copy the above command --> Right-click in the command prompt

and paste it]

Restart your computer and try to install the application.

If the problem still exists then try to download the application once again from a

different browser( try in "Firefox").
