Hi,
Open device manager by pressing on start+r ,type devmgmt.msc.Now expand the list for usb controllers,right click and uninstall drivers.When completed restart pc then connect your device to usb port if on pc then do not connect to front extended usb ports.

Hello,
i tried your suggestion.when i expanded the list of usb controllers,all of them are in good condition.all the listed usb's are intel serial port as such i cannot delete those ports.when i connect my walkman it says usb not recognised.please help me out of this situation.
