Laptop wont turn on and idk why

Hello,

I was on my laptop the other day when i noticed that the battery was going down slowly even tho the charger was plugged in, but weirdly it went incredibly slow like it was still being charged but it wasnt. Once it reached 0% it turned off and now it wont turn on, i thought it was the charger so i went out and bought a universal charger but to no avail. Now when i plug the adapter into the laptop sparks come out and it still wont turn on.
Any help will be greatly appreciated and thank you for reading.

Hello,

Compare the output voltage of your old power adapter with the new one. The

output voltage (V) must be the same, the amps( indicated as A) could be the

same or higher than on the original power adapter.
