Acer laptop can't get question mark to work

Hello,
I have tried the ''alt, shift, both shift keys, alt car key, cap locks'' I can't find how to get the question mark I get É,é,'

I would check to see if you have the French keyboard mapping turned on.

Thanks I checked that and it was mapped French I changed it to English but it still does the same thing

Thanks all I had to do was re-boot after changing the language to English now all of my keys work as they should
