Hello,
I am having a problem with my dell inspiron 1525. I noticed that this laptop become hot and shut down unexpectedly while I use it. It seemed to be over-heating. I noticed very hot air come from the vent at the back. The other thing is, when I remove charger from it it's shut down problem reduce. I am using a dell original charger/power cable.
Any ideas would be a great help, thank you.
I have windows vista home premium.

Greetings Iqram,

Regarding your issue, here is what i suggest you:

As a first step and cheap repair, I strongly suggest that you purchase a can of compressed air, open you laptop and get clean out every speck of dust.

First, here are the three main components for which we must check the temperature:
*The processor
*The graphic cards
*The hard disk

There is a free software that lets you control these temperatures. It is simple, free, effective and compatible with both 32 and 64 bit architecture.

Download HWMonitor from the link below:
http://ccm.net/download/download-2040-hwmonitor

What are the main symptoms?

- Black screen of the machine, obliged to restart savagely
- Crash of the machine while loading a picture, office or other
- The laptop restart , when the use of the processor is to high (opening multiple programs).

You can get further help in this link:

If the above does not solve your issue, only a in the flesh technician can possibly fix it.

Best regards
