Acer laptop wont start!!

Hello, I have an acer laptop thats a little over a year old. When i tried to turn it on, the blue screen would come up then it would shut back down. then when i try to repair the problem, it says it "windows cant start". i am not very good with laptops so i have no idea what to do about it. Can someone please give me advice?
