Hello,
Good day! I would need any help you can give. I'm worried about my husband's hard drive. Before I turned on the pc, I plugged in the portable external hard drive and when I turn on the computer, it won't load. It freezed right after I turned it on without even loading the windows,so I waited but, after 30 minutes or less I pressed and hold the power button, and after it turned off,I pulled the USB of the hard drive. Did I damaged the hard drive for what I did?is it safe to do what I did?thanks in advance...

There is a very slight possibility that the data structure of the drive was damaged.
Portable hard drives should be used for backup and NOT as the primary/only storage of your files.
Good Luck
