External drive not recognized

Hello,
i have a external hard disk for 320 gb. till few weeks back it was working absolutely fine. but recently, it shows disk not recognised. i have installed few software to read the disk, but did not succeed. there is certain important photos and videos which needs to be taken care of. pls suggest

Hi,

Is the drive available on Device Manager? Otherwise, this is probably a cable issue, try to change it and see if the problem still exist.
