My iPod won't turn on!

My iPod classic has been playing up out of the blue for a few weeks. Now, it wont turn on yet when it's plugged in to my laptop it says its charging. Its been charging for a few days now...and it wont come up on iTunes! Its 160GB of my life...someone please help!!

If your iPod won't turn on anymore, you need to reset it. Hold the sleep/wake button and the home button together for at least 10 seconds until the apple logo appears.
