IPod wont charge & cant be detect on computer

Hello,

I have a 8GB I-Pod Touch, it won't charge and can't be detected on the computer. I plugged it's usb cable into my computer because it has low battery but nothing pops/shows up on the computer, Itunes and the Ipod. I've installed all the updates on itunes and tries pressing the middle button but nothing works. I had it for half a year now, I've done it before and it worked, it only happened this time. My I-pod won't turn on now because it doesn't have battery so I can't reset anything. My computer is Windows 7. Please help me, I've tried a lot of solutions on the internet and nothing works.
