Cant get no sound

Hello,


i been trying everything to get sound back on my friends desk top compaq with xp someone removed xp and i put it back on with my copy of xp now no sound on my friends comp please someone help done tried plenty of things more ideals want hurt thank you

you need to go to www.hp.com.Find the support tab and search for the sound drivers for your laptop model. I would also download the other hardware support software as most laptops need this software to support things like Function keys and switching to external displays.
