Hello,
plz help me, i cant use my external HD... i went to a computer cafe and plugged in my HD to save some stuffs. after dat, i plugged it back on my laptop
, but MY LAPTOP NO LONGER READ IT! my HD have lights, it seems that its still ok but i dont have any idea wat happened! it has 160GB so plz help me!

its me agen... i forgot to tell. the model of my HD is TOSHIBA! i hope someone could help... i almost tried all the suggestion but still didnt work! plz plz pl

Hello,
Check first if your external drive is detected by your BIOS.
If it is the case, try this:
Click on Start --> Run ---> type diskmgmt.msc and click on OK.
Right-click on WD Passport Drive --> Select "Change Drive Letter and Paths..." --->
Click on "Add" button ---> Select your drive letter and click on OK.
Note : If the drive letter is already assigned, then try changing the drive letter
by clicking on "Change" button instead of "Add" button in the above step.
If the solutions above does not work, think to change the cable of the drive.
