No sound

Hello,
i have assus laptop with windows 7 connected to bravia LCD tv thru HDMI cable but NO SOUND.
finally the thru advises mentioned above , sound is coming out of my laptop speakers and NOT thru tv speakers.
Kindly help.

right-click on the sound icon on the taskbar , click on the PlayBack tab, then Right-click on HDMI and select "Set as default"

Click ok and check if that works
