Help - WD External Hard Drive

Hello,

My internal harddrive went out and I had a new one put in. Now when I plug my WD external harddrive in, it's recognized on my computer but none of the files or folders are showing up. I know the info is still on it because I plug it into my computer at work and it does the same thing but at least I can search. I'm on a Sony Vaio using Vista. Can anyone help me out.

Do you say that your files and folders not showing up?

Go to start and type

cmd and press enter

Now run this command

attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.*

g should replaced with letter assigned to your external HDD

It worked, THANKS SO MUCH!!! Love these forums. It's so wonderful there's places like this for people that are not real computer savvy
