System hanging problem

Hello,
I have acer 1640 series laptop, i formated my lap and installed xp pro installation is success but there is a problem , system hanged or stuck , i cannot move mouse , i cannot do anything, but in safe mode system ok, i formatted again and reinstalled xp pro again but problem not solved , please help me to solve this problem

Not sure what OS do you use

go to run and type

eventvwr and click ok

Select SYSTEM logs and check for recent errors especially disk,atapi errors.

You can go to view-filter
and mention 7 and 11 in event id

Try to search for these errors.

Did you get bluescreen recently?

Check if your RAM has been seated properly
